A pergunta central foi: &#8220;Can we turn dirty water into clean water? (Conseguimos transformar \u00e1gua suja em \u00e1gua limpa?)&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante esta investiga\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00e1tica, as crian\u00e7as constru\u00edram filtros caseiros usando camadas de areia, pedras e carv\u00e3o \u2014 descobrindo como funcionam os sistemas de purifica\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua. (Conseguimos &#8220;capturar&#8221; o vento?)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atrav\u00e9s de experi\u00eancias simples e divertidas, as crian\u00e7as descobriram que, embora o vento seja invis\u00edvel, os seus efeitos est\u00e3o por toda a parte! Observaram o movimento de objetos leves, constru\u00edram moinhos de vento e testaram diferentes formas de \u201capanhar\u201d o vento com sacos de pl\u00e1stico e papel.<br>Durante o processo, aprenderam a fazer previs\u00f5es, observar resultados e partilhar conclus\u00f5es \u2014 atitudes essenciais no trabalho cient\u00edfico. Durante o m\u00eas de dezembro, a atividade desafiou as crian\u00e7as a responder \u00e0 quest\u00e3o: \u201c\u00c9 poss\u00edvel mover objetos sem lhes tocar?\u201d. Com muita curiosidade, exploraram for\u00e7as invis\u00edveis como \u00edmanes e eletricidade est\u00e1tica: viram pedacinhos de papel &#8220;dan\u00e7arem&#8221; ao aproximar bal\u00f5es esfregados no cabelo e objetos met\u00e1licos a serem atra\u00eddos ou repulsos por imanes. Este janeiro, o desafio foi responder: \u201c\u00c9 poss\u00edvel criar luz sem eletricidade?\u201d. Cri\u00e1mos uma \u201cbateria\u201d utilizando lim\u00f5es e outros materiais: cort\u00e1mos lim\u00f5es frescos, inserimos eletrodos de cobre e zinco e vimos a luz surgir da rea\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica \u00e1cido-fruta! As crian\u00e7as previram, experimentaram e registaram os resultados com espanto e entusiasmo.
